The Basics
Crimson House takes the whole Bible rightly-divided with the New Testament as our rule of faith, government, practice, and discipline. The following beliefs are foundational to our faith.
- The Inspired Word of God The Bible is inspired of God, is infallible and inerrant, and is given to man as his guide for living. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
- One God in Three Persons In one God, eternally existing in three persons, namely God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10,11, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22)
- The Deity of Jesus Christ That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, raised from the dead, ascended to heaven, and is now at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor. (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31,35. Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22)
- The Born Again Experience That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and is necessary for the forgiveness of sin. That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are brought about by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. (John 3:3; 1 Peter 1:23; 1 John 3:9)
- Ordinances In the two ordinances of a) water baptism by immersion and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; b) In the Lord’s Supper. (Luke 22:17-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-33)
- A Holy Lifestyle Sanctification is subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word of God; and by the Holy Spirit. Holiness is to be the standard of living for His people. (Luke 1:74, 75; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; Hebrews 12:14)
- The Baptism of the Holy Spirit The baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of the speaking in tongues as the initial evidence. (Acts 2:4)
- Divine Healing Divine healing of man’s emotional, spiritual, and physical being is provided for all in the atonement. (Matthew 8:17; James 5:14-16; 1 Peter 2:24)
- The Blessed Hope In the premillenial second coming of Jesus: First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth one thousand years. In the bodily resurrection—eternal life for the righteous; eternal punishment for the wicked. (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52)
